• FriendsOnly ("we," "our," "us") operates the FriendsOnly mobile app and website friendsonly.club. We will update this policy with our full legal entity name and address once incorporated.

• FriendsOnly helps people build platonic friendships. We do not use dating mechanics. Optional signals (e.g., MBTI, sun/moon signs) are never used as hard filters and can be hidden at any time.

• The service is for users 18+ only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Account and profile (provided by you)

• Required: first name, birthday (to confirm you're 18+), approximate city, age range, languages, availability, interests, relationship status, religion (affiliation; optional tradition), phone (hashed), email (if used), authentication provider IDs, device info
• Optional: MBTI, sun sign, moon sign, religion tradition details, short bio
• Safety: block/report details, moderation records

Usage and device data (collected automatically)

• App events (e.g., discovery views, filter use), crash logs, basic device details, push notification tokens

Payments/subscriptions

• Subscription status, product IDs, receipt metadata (via Apple). We do not process or store card numbers.

Website data

• Contact/support form submissions (name, email, message)
• Cookies/analytics (GA4)

• Provide and secure the service (account, discovery/ranking, chat, safety/moderation). Legal basis: performance of contract; legitimate interests; legal obligation.
• Subscriptions and billing (StoreKit 2; Apple handles refunds). Legal basis: performance of contract.
• Push notifications (e.g., requests/messages). Legal basis: consent (can be changed in device settings).
• Analytics and service improvement (Firebase Analytics, GA4). Legal basis: legitimate interests; consent where required (cookies banner).
• Legal/compliance (e.g., responding to lawful requests). Legal basis: legal obligation.

• MBTI and astrology are optional, user-controlled, and not required for discovery. You can hide them at any time.
• Religion: You choose whether to share or hide. If shared, it may appear on your profile and be used as a gentle preference or an explicit filter only if you turn that on.
• We do not infer sensitive traits.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Service providers (processors):
  • Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Storage, Analytics, Crashlytics) — Google LLC
  • Apple (APNs for push; App Store for payments)
  • Google Analytics (GA4) on the website
  • Email/support (support@friendsonly.club), operated via our mail provider
• Legal and safety: if required by law or to protect users and our service
• Business changes: in case of a merger/acquisition; we will notify you

• We use providers with infrastructure in the EEA/US. When transferring data internationally, we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards offered by our processors (e.g., Google/Firebase, Google Analytics). Details available on request.

• Account/profile: for the life of your account, then up to 12 months for dispute, fraud prevention, and backup, unless law requires longer.
• Reports/moderation: retained as needed for safety and legal obligations.
• Website form submissions: up to 12 months after resolution.
• Aggregated/anonymous analytics may be kept longer.

• Access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction/objection (GDPR/UK GDPR/EEA)
• California (CPRA): know, delete, correct; we do not "sell" or "share" personal information as defined by CPRA.
• Push notifications: enable/disable in device settings
• Optional signals (MBTI/astrology/religion tradition): show/hide anytime

• We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures (e.g., phone verification, hashed phone values, access controls). No system is perfectly secure.

• Our app/website may link to third-party sites. Their privacy practices are their own.

• We will post updates here and revise the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email when appropriate.
